'Binge' was Lydia's first dance work as an independent choreographer after working as co-founder of Para-Site with Tamara von Werthern for 6 years. A mix of physical theatre and Contemporary dance, 'Binge' was originally inspired by something very personal to Lydia - her allergy to alcohol. Originally conceived whilst an associate artist at BAC on the Independents programme, the piece has developed significantly with support from Rich Mix and platforms at the Victoria & Albert Museum, The Basement and The Nightingale Theatre. 'Binge' has also received funding from Ideastap in early 2012. Lydia developed 'Binge' through a second residency at Rich Mix in November-December 2012 and presented the final version of the work as part of her 'Women of Mass Destruction' platform in December 2012.
